Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to debate urgent issues of bilateral coop

ASTANA. September 3. KAZINFORM President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan at the invitation of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on September 6-7.

The Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are expected to have bilateral talks to debate pressing issues of bilateral cooperation and cooperation within international organizations, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.

A joint statement of the Heads of State will be adopted following the results of the visit. Besides, the sides will sign a number of bilateral documents.

The meeting ahead is purposed to strengthen further the level of bilateral ties, advance full-scale cooperation and focus on a wide range of urgent issues.  

The volume of mutual trade between the two countries reached USD 1.95 bln in 2011 that is 24% more against 2010.
