There is no good evidence that Andamasov and Uzakbayev were victims of Zhanaozen mass riots, Prosecutor General's Office
"The first one, as is known, turned out to be alive and sound and took no part in the mass unrest. The information concerning the death of Andamasov and the missing of Uzakbayev was never been concealed and was officially registered at the law enforcement bodies," official spokesman for the Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office Nurdaulet Suindikov told a briefing.
"As is known, on December 23, 2011 the body of an unidentified man was found in one of the basement in Zhanaozen. Akmaral Chuvakbayeva identified the dead man as her husband Yusup Andamasov. The forensic medical examination held found no physical injuries on the body of Andamasov. The same time, it revealed ethyl alcohol in his blood.
As for Dzhalgasbai Uzakbayev, police recorded the statement on his disappearance on December 22, 2011. The case has been initiated; unfortunately, it gave no positive results yet.
Thus, there is no good evidence that Andamasov and Uzakbayev were the victims of Zhanaozen mass riots," he added.
