10 patients in Astana cured of cerebral vessel diseases thanks to innovative treatment

ASTANA. October 31. KAZINFORM In Astana, innovative treatment of cerebral vessel diseases was introduced, thanks to which 10 patients have returned to healthy life. This information was given to astana.kz in the press service of the city hospital №1, Kazinform refers to astana.kz.

This method was introduced this July by surgeons of interventional X-ray surgery department of the city hospital №1. The introduced method helps cure of microcoil embolization of cerebral aneurysm. "Aneurysm is an insidious disease. One can live the whole life with it, or after a stress one can get its rupture and cerebral hemorrhage. Invalidity or death can be the result of it. Without surgical measures up to 70% patients die during the first year of the disease, 25% of those who survive remain disabled. Currently the most effective treatment of aneurysm in the world is intravascular treatment", - it is said in the message.

It's worth noting that the city hospital №1 was among the first in Kazakhstan to take on board advanced methods of intravascular treatment, including microcoil embolization of cerebral aneurysm. Recall that as of today thanks to the implemented innovative treatment, high professionalism of X-ray surgeons from the city hospital №1 and modern equipment of the hospital, ten patients have escaped cerebral aneurysm rupture and its sequelae.
