12 Kazakhstani universities ranked in QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024
12 Kazakhstani universities are featured in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024 released by the QS Quacquarelli Symonds. The universities ranked in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024 are leading the way in social and environmental sustainability, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University based in Almaty is placed 447th in the QS World University Rankings, the highest-ranked Kazakhstani university.
Coming in second is the Gumilyov Eurasian National University ranked 676th in the rankings.
Satbayev University, the Auezov South Kazakhstan University and the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University are feature into the top 1000 of the QS World University Rankings.
The Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University, the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, the Karaganda State Technical University, the Kazakh-British Technical University and the Narxoz University are mentioned in the rankings.
According to QS regional director Sergei Khristolyubov, the fact that 12 Kazakhstani universities from six cities debuted on the QS Sustainability Rankings proves Kazakhstan’s contribution to the achievement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has been internationally recognized.
