12 regions and Kazakh capital put on storm alert

 Meteorologists issued weather advisory for 12 regions of Kazakhstan and the capital, Astana on October 15, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet. 

Western wind with gusts of 15-20 mps will hit the Kazakhstan capital on Sunday.

Fog will blanket north of West Kazakhstan region at night and early in the morning.

Foggy conditions are forecast in mountainous areas of Zhetysu region as well. The region will also see northwesterly wind gusting up to 23-28 mps.

Mercury will dip as low as 1°C in mountainous areas of Turkistan region.

Heavy precipitation will douse east of East Kazakhstan region. 15-20 mps wind will blow there.

High fire hazard will persist in the center of Kyzylorda region.

Fog and 15-20 mps western wind are expected in the north of Akmola and south and west of Kostanay regions.

15-20 mps wind will pound most of North Kazakhstan region.

Fog, southwesterly wind with gusts of 15-20 mps are in store for north and east of Karaganda region.

Gusts of southwesterly and westerly wind will reach 15-20 in the north, south and west of Pavlodar region.

The north and west of Aktobe region will be steeped in for at night and early in the morning.

Fog will blanket mountainous areas of Zhambyl region. Southeasterly wind with gusts of 15-20 mps will hit the region on October 16-17.
