128 inspections, 52 investigations conducted in 2008: KZ Agency for Competition Protection

ASTANA. January 16. KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ Kazakh Agency for Competition Protection conducted 132 inspections and 52 investigations in 2008. Chairman of the Agency Mazhit Yessenbayev has made it public at the enlarged sitting of the board today, Kazinform reports.

?For rectification of the discovered violations regarding the enterprises and state bodied 422 instructions have been made, 86% of them have been fulfilled?, the Chairman said. Thus, ?Passazhirskiye perevozki? JSC has been fined by up to KZT 22 mln 339 thousand. It was obliged to transfer KZT 223 mln 387 thousand to the budget. Following suppression of violations of anti-monopoly legislation, the volume of budgetary revenues made KZT 3.52 bln in 2008.
