13 regions boast manufacturing activities growth

Manufacturing and mining sectors demonstrate positive growth rates by 3.4% and 5.2% respectively, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Kazakh National Economy Minister Alibek Kuantyrov said,13 regions boast manufacturing activities growth with the highest rates seen in Kyzylorda, Kostanay, Abai regions and Almaty city. Machine building grew by 27%, including motor-car constriction by 41%, and production of electrical equipment by 32%.

Foodstuff production increased by 1.9%, building materials by 4.1%, light industry by 12% and production of furniture by 42%.

Mining industry also showed growth by 5%. Gas production rose by 12%, oil production by 7.8%, coal production decreased by 5.8%.
