16 people arrested for participation in Zhanaozen riots

ASTANA. December 24. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ 16 people were arrested for participation in the riots in Zhanaozen town, Mangystau region. Chairman of the appeals board of Mangystau region's court Nurserik Sharipov made it public at a meeting of Kazakh Supreme Court in Astana.

"Once the criminal cases are fully investigated in the judicial order, a sentence will be passed," he said.
