17yo Kazakh wins top honors at Minnesota NATS Vocal Competition for third time in a row
17-year-old singer Adelina Mukhametzhanova from Kazakhstan for the third time in a row won the Minnesota NATS Competition (National Association of Teachers of Singing) vocal competition. For the past 10 years Adelina pocketed more than 10 awards at the national competitions in the U.S., Kazinform News Agency reports.
This year Adelina performed the Ak Shagala by Nurgissa Tlendiyev, Mein Herr Marquis (Die Fledermause) by Johann Strauss and I Send My Heart Up to Thee by Amy Marcy Beach.
Adelina said the next is to get ready for the CS Vocal Competition, a competition with professional judges/college professors slated for next May in Chicago.
Adelina Mukhametzhanova has been studying vocal performance for over seven years. In 2018 she received a special prize at the Open International Auditions in Italy and won a prize at the Sanremo Junior international song competition.
Early this year Adelina won an international vocal competition in the U.S. performing Bulbul competition by Latif Hamidi.
