18 yo Kazakh joins Portuguese Gil Vicente Futebol Clube

18-year-old attacking midfield Iliyas Abil joined the Gil Vicente Futebol Clube, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Sports.kz.

Iliyas posted on Instagram an image of himself wearing a T-shirt of the Portuguese professional football club that plays in Barcelos.

According to the Transfermarkt, the native of Pavlodar and player of the youth team of Kazakhstan Iliyas will play for Gil Vicente until 19 years old.

Aged 17 years old Abil made a debut in 2023 Kazakhstan Premier League playing for Aksu and hitting one goal in the season .

Currently Gil Vicente ranks 10^th in Primeira Liga standings.
