180,000 tourists visited Mangistau region in 1H 2023

Mangistau region plans to develop 13 projects in the sphere of tourism worth 100 billion tenge. Governor Nurlan Nogayev briefed on the projects aimed at raising the tourism appeal of the region, Kazinform News Agency reports.

180,000 tourists visited Mangistau region in the first six months, of which 16,000 are international tourists. The region is set to create necessary conditions, infrastructure and visitor’s centres.

He said the budget allocates funds to attract private entrepreneurs. The number of businessmen interested in tourism business grows year after year.

In his State-of-the-Nation Address the Head of State set a task to develop breakthrough projects in the sphere of tourism. To this end the region plans to fulfill 13 projects worth 100 billion tenge. Of which two up to 589 million tenge were launched this year. One of them is construction of the Eco Hotel.
