183 girls born in the capital during the first spring week

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - During the first week of March (from 1 to 6), 397 children were born in Astana, including 214 boys and 183 girls, astana.kz reports.

It's worth noting that over the first six day of March there are more newborn boys than girls.

"From 1 to 6 of March 397 children were born in maternity clinics and perinatal hospitals in Astana. 214 of them are boys, and 183 - girls", they reported to astana.kz in the agency.

Along with that, 1746 newborns were there this February, including 874 boys, 872 girls and 17 twins.

Comparing the statistics of the birth rate in the capital with last year's data for the same period, we can see the trend of birth rate increase, especially boys. So, last year 246 children were born in the first week of March, including 132 boys and 114 girls.

Following the results of 2013, overall more than 18 000 children were born in Astana.
