187,000 traffic violations detected by Command and Control Center in Aktobe
As part of his working visit to Aktobe region, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Command and Control Center in Aktobe, Akorda reports.
The Head of State toured the building of the Command and Control Center of the Police Department in Aktobe.
The facility provides a round-the-clock monitoring of the situation on the ground in real time with the help of around 15,000 CCTV cameras.
32 inspectors and three 102 hotline operators work in the Center’s situation room.
During the President’s visit, deputy interior minister Saken Sarssenov reported to Tokayev on the use of digital solutions in the work of the police.
There are five the command and control centers across Aktobe region, contributing to the detection of 1,800 criminal offences and 187,000 traffic violations.
President Tokayev was also briefed that in order to increase the efficiency of the work of the internal affairs bodies, AI-based technologies are being introduced, helping to search missing persons by analyzing camera records.
Such technologies allow to recognize faces of suspects through photos downloaded on the special platform. In addition, they capture facts of traffic violations and enable to control the movement of vehicle traffic.
The Head of State drew attention to the importance to ensure the rule of law and order in the society and highlighted the need to continue the work in this direction.
Earlier it was reported that the Head of Stare inspected a number of industrial facilities as well as familiarized with the activities of the social facilities in Aktobe region.
