The first sitting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held in Moscow on Friday, Ria Novosti informs.

The heads of governments of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus (since January a presiding country), Armenia and Kyrgyzstan will take part in the sitting.

Establishment of the EEU brings the cooperation between the member states of the former Customs Union, whose total GDP is accounted for 85% of all the output of the CIS, to a new level. Thus, the formation of the biggest common market in the territory of the CIS is coming to an end, and it will become the center of the economic growth.

The main issue of the agenda is Kyrgyzstan's accession to the EEU. "It is planned that the decision on creating of a system for labeling some light industry products will be considered at the sitting. This pilot project is implemented in order to control the trade turnover and ensure legality of import and production of goods in the territory of the EEU member-states," the press release reads. Besides, the heads of the governments will discuss the practical aspects of establishment of the Eurasian engineering center for machine tool industry, which is expected to increase the opportunities of cooperation between the companies of the sector in the EEU countries and help promote modernization of industrial productions thanks to the use of the foreign equipment produced in the EEU countries.
