1st sitting of TURKPA Commission took place in Ankara

BAKU. KAZINFORM - The first sitting of the commission for ecology and natural resources of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking Countries took place in Ankara today, the TURKPA Office in Baku informs.

The sitting of the commission was chaired by deputy of the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan Ahliman Amiraslanov.

The sitting was focused on discussion of the issue regarding desertification in the TURKPA member-states and measures taken to fight the program and fulfillment of the provisions of the UN Convention in this field by the member states. Upon completion of the sitting, specific recommendations were adopted.

Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Erkin Shpanov and deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Serik Bilyalov represented Kazakhstan at the sitting.

The next sitting of the TURKPA Commission on ecology and natural resources will be held in Baku.
