$20 bln invested into Kazakhstan's transport sector in 5 years
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Transport sector of Kazakhstan has attracted more than $20 billion of investments in the past 5 years.

"Over the last 5 years transport and communications complex of Kazakhstan has been demonstrating stable growth. In total, the sector has attracted $20.3 billion in those years," Minister of Transport and Communications Zhenis Kassymbek said at the IX international conference on transport and transit potential "TransEurasia-2014" on Thursday. As a result, the share of transport sector in country's GDP has amounted to 7.5%. 1 700 km of new railroads have been constructed and 19 000 km of highways have been renovated in Kazakhstan over the past couple of years.
