20-meter flag raised in Karaganda in honor of Republic Day
Dozens of Karaganda residents participated today in the ceremony of raising the National Flag, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The size of the Flag is 10x20 meters. 30 military servants carried it.
The National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan was performed after the ceremony.
Governor of Karaganda region Yermaganbet Bulekpayev, public activists and statesmen, militaries and veterans attended the ceremony.
“October 25 is an important day for our country. On this day in 1990, the Declaration of State Sovereignty was adopted, which paved the way Independence of Kazakhstan. Last year, Republic Day was given the status of the national holiday and since then it has been widely celebrated throughout the country. For all of us, this day became the holiday of civil accord and national unity, as well as common responsibility for the country's present and future,” said Governor Bulekpayev.
