2025 declared Year of China’s Tourism in Kazakhstan

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping announced 2025 the Year of China’s Tourism in Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

The decision to declare 2025 the Year of China’s Tourism in Kazakhstan was made during the high-level talks in Astana.

Xi Jinping welcomed the unveiling of cultural centers of Kazakhstan and China in both countries as well as the opening of a branch of the Beijing Language and Culture University in Kazakhstan. In his words, this will help make Kazakh and Chinese people closer.

“The decision to open the second Luban Workshop in Kazakhstan and holding of the Year of China’s Tourism in Kazakhstan has been made,” Xi Jinping told a press conference in the Akorda residence.

He also added the countries need to expand cooperation in the spheres of mass media and cinematography.
