February 2025 will mark the release of Lady Gaga’s seventh studio album, which is currently referred to as LG7. The album is expected to resemble the sound of her earlier works, The Fame and Born This Way, featuring darker tones. Gaga herself has described the upcoming album as “chaotic” in terms of genre.

In October, Lady Gaga released the lead single, Disease, which critics praised for its resemblance to her early work. Fans are already calling it one of the best songs of her career. Her duet with Bruno Mars, Die With A Smile, will also be included on the album. The collaborative track reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been nominated for Grammy Awards in the categories of “Song of the Year” and “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance”.

Lady Gaga's previous studio album, Chromatica, was released in 2020. The album delved into deeply personal experiences, particularly her struggles with mental health, trauma, and chronic pain. Through the metaphorical planet Chromatica, Gaga created a world where music became a tool for emotional recovery.

The final chapter of The Weeknd's trilogy, which began with After Hours and Dawn FM, is set to be one of the major musical events of the coming year. New album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, will conclude the narrative centered around love, loneliness, fame and self-renewal. The trilogy has already earned The Weeknd global acclaim and set new standards in pop music.

In May 2023, Abel Tesfaye revealed in an interview with W Magazine that his next studio album would be the final release under the moniker The Weeknd.

“It’s getting to a place and a time where I’m getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter. I’ll still make music, maybe as Abel, maybe as The Weeknd. But I still want to kill The Weeknd. And I will. Eventually. I’m definitely trying to shed that skin and be reborn,” says Tesfaye.

The new album is scheduled to be released through XO and Republic Records on January 24, 2025. The album features guest appearances by Playboi Carti and Anitta. The Weeknd has already released three singles from his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow: Dancing in the Flames on September 13, Timeless on September 27, and São Paulo on October 30, 2024.

Miley Cyrus revealed that her upcoming album, Something Beautiful, will be a visual concept album inspired by Pink Floyd's The Wall. She described the vibe as “hypnotizing and glamorous”.

“My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

In 2023, Miley Cyrus released Endless Summer Vacation. Its lead single, Flowers, made a significant impact as a self-empowerment anthem, quickly became a global hit. She won two Grammy awards for Flowers this year.

This year, Miley Cyrus released the song Beautiful That Way, which served as the soundtrack for the film The Last Showgirl. The song was co-written with Lykke Li and producer Andrew Wyatt. Beautiful That Way has already garnered critical acclaim and earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.

FKA twigs is set to release her highly anticipated album, EUSEXUA, on January 24, 2025. This will be her first studio album in five years, coming after Magdalene (2019), and her first complete project in over three years, following the 2022 mixtape Caprisongs.

The album explores the concept of EUSEXUA, a feeling of "momentary transcendence”. The title track, co-produced with Koreless and Eartheater, is already available for streaming.

FKA twigs' music is often described as genre-defying, blending elements of electronic, R&B, trip hop, and experimental pop. Her debut album, LP1, was named one of the best albums of 2014 by multiple publications, including Pitchfork and NME.

Lana Del Rey has announced her upcoming tenth studio album, The Right Person Will Stay, set for release on May 21, 2025. She first announced the album title as Lasso on January 31, 2024, and has since confirmed that her new album will see her venture into country music.

“All my albums are somewhat rooted in Americana, unless it’s an album like Honeymoon which has a jazz flair, so I don’t think it will be a heavy departure... If anything, it will just be a little lighter lyrically, and more pointed in a classic country, American, or Southern Gothic production — which again, so many of my songs already are,” she told Vogue.

The new album features 13 tracks. The lead single, Henry, is expected to be released before the release. In addition to the album announcement, Lana Del Rey has revealed plans for UK and Ireland stadium tour in June 2025.

Her previous album, Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, was released in March 2023 and earned a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.

It’s been almost ten years, and yet here we are, still waiting for Rihanna’s long-anticipated new album. But now, 2025 might finally be the year when Rihanna gives us what we’ve been craving. While the details are still scarce, it looks like she is planning not only a new album but also a global tour to go along with it.

Lorde

Lorde, the acclaimed New Zealand singer-songwriter, is set to release her fourth studio album, L4, in 2025. Her previous album, Solar Power (2021), marked a shift in Lorde's musical style, embracing a more laid-back, acoustic sound. However, it did not receive the same level of critical acclaim as her earlier album, Melodrama (2017). While Melodrama was praised for its bold exploration of personal themes and innovative production, Solar Power was met with mixed reviews.

As 2025 approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of L4, hoping it will continue Lorde's tradition of blending poetic lyricism with innovative soundscapes. While details remain scarce, the excitement surrounding her forthcoming album is palpable.
