2050 Strategy embodies Kazakhstan's ambitions to develop as a regional power - Chinese expert

Kazakhstan is a bridge between Europe and Asia, and is located at the intersection of different cultures and civilizations. Kazakhstan has the primary control over the resources of the Caspian Sea and has influence on Central Asia and the Middle East. In this regard, Kazakhstan intends to strengthen its own responsibility for the maintenance of stability and security in Central Asia, in particular, by actively participating in the reconstruction of Afghanistan and coordination with the Islamic world to address socio-economic problems of the region, considers Li Lifan.

Kazakhstan is the third largest member state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and has good relations with China. Kazakhstan has made a great contribution to the establishment and development of the SCO. China and Kazakhstan will strengthen cooperation in the framework of international organizations. In this regard, the countries have a good experience of cooperation; in particular, China has consistently supported the initiative of Kazakhstan - CICA, according to the expert.

China and Kazakhstan are working together to build a well-off society. Nazarbayev proposed seven priority areas for development. In terms of economic policy, Kazakhstan will search for a new economic growth, support the development of small and medium-sized businesses, promote industrialization, develop new energy industries, agriculture. In social terms Kazakhstan will continue the policy to reduce the number of poor, provide citizens with minimum social standards and guarantees, improve mechanism for protecting mother and child, and introduce uniform standards of medical services. These provisions of the Strategy "Kazakhstan-2050" have much in common with the 12th five-year plan of socio-economic development of China (2011-2015), the Chinese expert resumes.
