20th anniversary of Kazakhstan-Egypt diplomatic relations marked in Cairo

ASTANA. April 16. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Embassy in Cairo organized a roundtable dated to the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Egypt, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.

Representatives of state agencies, expert and business circles of Egypt attended the roundtable.

Kazakh Ambassador Berik Aryn told about the main socioeconomic achievements of Kazakhstan, important foreign policy initiatives highlighting that under the leadership of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev Kazakhstan has built a modern state with market economy and developed democratic institutions taking a rightful place in the world community.

Those attending focused on the current state of the Kazakh-Egypt cooperation, ways and prospects for further development of ties in various spheres. The participants expressed gratitude to the Kazakh Government for supporting reconstruction of the Sultan Baybars Mosque in Cairo and expressed hope for sooner completion of restoration works. As is known, Kazakhstan channeled USD 4.5 mln for its restoring.
