222 new schools constructed over 20 years of independence - S Kazakhstan

YMKENT. December 23. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylayeva/ Over 20 years of independence 1.5 million of residents of South Kazakhstan region have been provided with clean drinking water; the press service of the akimat (administration) of South Kazakhstan region reports.

Over the years of sovereignty 36 kilometers of road have been constructed.

Since 1991 the volume of financing of the education sphere increased from KZT 107.7 mln to KZT 122.3 bln in 2010. 372 kindergartens were put into commission. Their total number reached 638. 222 schools were constructed. All schools are connected to the Internet.

The volume of financing of the healthcare sphere increased from KZT 58.8 mln in 1991 to KZT 21.5 bln in 2010. 125 new facilities were built.
