22nd group of US Peace Corps volunteers starts working in Kazakhstan

ALMATY. November 6. KAZINFORM /Ekaterina Ionova/ 67 volunteers of the US Peace Corps are ready to set about working in Kazakhstan. They have undergone 11-week preparatory training. The ceremony of their dedication has been held in Almaty today.

A part of volunteers will work in different educational institutions of villages and cities of Kazakhstan. Being native speakers they will be able to help students and teachers in language skills development, familiarize with new interactive methods of education, promoting the Kazakh program on trinity of languages - Kazakh, Russian and English.

Another group of volunteers will be sent to youth organizations and hold trainings on healthy lifestyle, working skills development and leadership qualities there. Besides, many volunteers take part in projects of local communities working together with the Kazakh non-governmental organizations.

First fur month of work in the country the volunteers will stay in Kazakh families. Such a close interaction with the local population will allow to get acquainted with the culture and traditions of people of Kazakhstan and provides with an opportunity to communicate in Kazakh language.
