24 Kazakhstanis illegally present in US were deported in 2024
According to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reports, 24 nationals of Kazakhstan were deported from the U.S. last year, and 13 more in 2023, a Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

According to Static Foxnews, as of November 24, 2024, there were 1,445,549 noncitizens, including 369 nationals of Kazakhstan, on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) non-detained docket with final orders of removal.
The ICE presented a chart of noncitizens on the ICE Non-Detained Docket with Final Orders of Removal by Country of Citizenship.

To note, this information caused misperceptions in the press and social media that this mass deportation is associated with the stiffening of the immigration policy rules in the U.S. following Donald Trump’s inauguration. However, that is not the case.
Some media published the news concerning the deportation of thousands of illegal immigrants referring to Fox News report. It appears that Fox News posted this information on December 11, 2024. Therefore, it has nothing to do with the new US immigration policy.
Deportation is the removal of unwanted persons from a country’s territory. Such deportations are routine procedures taking place every day in every state. Therefore, the country’s authorities are not obliged to inform the embassy or consulate about the deportation of people who illegally entered the country, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Aibek Smadiyarov said.
Recall that in his inauguration speech, Donald Trump outlined a series of executive orders aimed at addressing critical issues. He declared a national emergency at the southern border, pledging to halt illegal immigration: “All illegal entry will immediately be halted, and we will begin the process of returning millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came.”
