246 evacuated from snow-hit cars in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM For the past 24 hours 246 people, including 11 kids, and 48 vehicles caught in the snow were evacuated the countrywide.

Strong wind and heavy snow combined to create whiteout conditions in Almaty, Aktobe, Kyzylorda and Karaganda regions, the press service of the Kazakh Emergency Situations Ministry said. All the stranded were rescued. No victims were reported.
