27 new medical facilities to open in Karaganda region
Akim of the Karaganda region, Yermaganbet Bulekpayev discussed the region's achievements in the field of medicine at a briefing in the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Yermaganbet Bulekpayev highlighted the modernization of the healthcare system is primarily oriented towards the objective set by the Head of State, namely to focus on the quality of service delivery and patient-orientation.
“We plan to open an additional 27 medical facilities in rural areas by the end of the year, with a further 51 to follow next year. Following modernization, two hospitals in Temirtau and Balkhash have been designated as inter-district hospitals, thereby greatly enhancing access to medical care for residents of the region,” the akim noted.
Over the past two years, 236 medical professionals have been provided with accommodation. The amount of lifting allowances was increased from 1.5 to 8.5 million tenge. Additionally, 63 specialists received support, and it is projected that 20 more medical professionals from various fields will be recruited by the end of the year.
Yermaganbet Bulekpayev also acknowledged the support of the Qazaqstan Halqyna fund, which provides medical institutions with equipment for pulmonology, combustiology and cardiology.
