29 kids with measles staying in ICU units

29 children diagnosed with measles are staying in the intensive care unit wards in moderately grave condition, Kazinform Agency quotes deputy director of maternal and child’s healthcare protection department of the Kazakh Healthcare Ministry Aigerim Opsanova as saying.

2,079 children with measles are staying in the hospitals so far. Some 300 kids are discharged and 400 are admitted to the hospitals daily. There are 2,911 measles beds countrywide, including 139 ICU beds. As of today, 29 children are staying in the ICU wards, of which 11 are under 12-mongths-old, and 13 are under 3 years old.
