3-4% reduction in railway transportation expected in first quarter of 2009: Ministry of Transport and Communication

KAZINFORM /Zauresh Balkenova/ ?Volume reduction of railway transportations by 3-4% and in commercial aviation by 8% is expected in the republic in the first quarter of 2009?, Head of the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communication Serik Akhmetov has said today at the collegium of the Ministry, Kazinform reports.

?Reduction of volume of industrial production all over the world led to a secline in exports of products of a number of large Kazakhstani enterprises?, S.Akhmetov said. According to the Minister, the decline is comparable to the seasonal fluctuations and is not crucial. He added that the situation in the industrial field will be clearer in May-June this year.
