3 injured workers of Ridder TPP transported to Ust-Kamenogorsk

Three of six workers injured during the repair works at the Ridder Thermal Power Plant were transported by air ambulance to Ust-Kamenogorsk, the administrative center of the East Kazakhstan region. Another three remain under medical supervision in Ridder, Kazinform News Agency reports.

A team of doctors from the regional center including a resuscitator and a traumatologist arrived at the scene. The doctors decided to transport three patients with the most serious injuries to Ust-Kamenogorsk.

“Their condition is assessed as critical but stable,” chief of the regional healthcare department Tolegen Zhigitayev says.

Doctors say the condition of all injured workers remains stable.

As reported, six workers were injured today as a result of a dust-air mixture explosion at the Ridder Thermal Power Plant.
