3 international highways to go through XUAR within Silk Road Economic Belt
BEIJING. KAZINFORM - Construction of three international highways will begin within the implementation of the Silk Road Economic Belt in XUAR in 2015, Tianshannet agency informs referring to the deputy of the department for transport and communications of XUAR.
Three international transport corridors will go through Xinjiang:
1) The northern highway will begin in Tianjin and then go through Beijing, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang and then through Kazakhstan to Russia. 2) The middle highway will begin in Shanghai, go through central and western regions of China and Xinjiang: through Hami (Kumul), Urumqi, Jinghe Xian, Khorgos to the countries of Central Asia and Europe.
3) The southern corridor will begin in Guangzhou and go through Hunan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Qinghai, Xinjiang provinces, Ruoqiang Xian, Hotan city and Kaxgar to Pakistan, to Gwadar port.
The construction of these three highways will help to turn Xinjiang into the hub region of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
