35 crews engaged in restoring power outages in Aktobe

12 crews in the city of Aktobe and 35 across the region are engaged around the clock in eliminating storm consequences and restoring power outages. Power was restored in 27 out of 56 villages or 2,700 customers so far.

Aktobe mayor  Askhat Shakharov visited the power distribution station at the Altyn Orda 2 neighborhood unit.

46 police squads, 81 units of equipment, 211 members of the emergency situations department, military units, and local executive bodies are also deployed in emergency and rescue operations. 11 warming centres opened in eight districts of the region. 427 people, including 18 women and 20 children, were placed temporarily there. Eight buses, and 157 people, including 17 kids, stuck in snow were rescued and evacuated to safer places. Police also rescued over 50 cars trapped in snow.

As earlier reported, monster wind gusts left over 20 villages in Aktobe region without power.
