35th Military World Judo Championship kicks off in Astana

ASTANA. July 1. KAZINFORM The official opening ceremony of the 35th Military World Judo Championship has been held at Daulet Sport Complex in Astana today, Kazinform has learnt from the Defense Ministry's press service.

Attending the ceremony was Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov who congratulated the participants on the kick-off of the championship and wished judokas victories.

A special guest of the opening ceremony in Kazakhstan was Chairman of the Judo Sport Committee under the International Military Sports Council Fred Sijnhorst. He wished the participating athletes good luck and expressed gratitude to the host country for welcoming the judo championship in the Kazakh capital.

The championship brought together judokas from 28 countries, including Brazil, Belarus, China, Poland, Estonia, Italy, France, Germany, Mongolia, Iraq, Slovakia and Algeria.
