'Ak zhol' Party supports idea of holding early presidential elections in 2015

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Democratic Party of Kazakhstan "Ak zhol" supports the idea of holding early presidential elections in 2015, Head of the Party, deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Azat Peruashev told at the sitting of the Party today.

"We need to say that this idea has already been supported by the society. We would also like to announce that the members of "Ak zhol" Party support the idea of holding early presidential elections in Kazakhstan. We think that this is a truly important historical decision," he noted.

"Ak zhol" believes that under the conditions of global instability, pressure of world economic crisis Kazakhstan needs to focus on implementation of "Nurly-Zhol" anti-crisis program that was initiated by the President.

"It is also important to say that this measure will allow to separate parliamentary elections and presidential elections that are now both scheduled for 2016," A. Peruashev said.

Besides, the members of the Party expressed their confidence that in case of a positive decision the early presidential elections would play a historic role in development of the country.

As earlier reported, on February 14, the Council of the Assembly of Kazakhstan put forward an initiative to hold early presidential elections of Kazakhstan in 2015.
