'Nurly Zhol' Program aimed at establishment of common economic market in country - expert

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - "Nurly Zhol" Program is aimed at establishment of the common economic market in the country based on development of macro districts on the hub principle, Chairman of the Board of the Economic Research Institute Maksat Mukhanov told at the CCS media briefing.

"Usually, during the periods of economic difficulties the investments are directed into the sphere of human capital assets or development of infrastructure. It usually has a good reviving effect. From this perspective we can consider "Nurly Zhol" as an anti-crisis program, but it's also supposed to have a great economic effect for a long period of time forming the new infrastructure for Kazakhstan," M. Mukhanov said.

According to him, "Nurly Zhol" was not just an infrastructural program, but the program aimed at establishment of the common economic market in the country based on development of macro districts on the hub principle as it is done in many developed countries.

M. Mukhanov noted that the research conducted by the Economic Research Institute showed that each dollar invested into transport infrastructure yields one and a half dollars in the sector. Investment of one billion US dollars into the sector will allow to create about 20 thousand jobs. Besides, implementation of the new economic policy "Nurly Zhol" will have a multiplicative effect on development of the other sectors.
