395 families resettling to the north of Kazakhstan provided with housing

At today’s weekly meeting of the Cabinet, Minister of Labour and Social Protection Svetlana Zhakupova spoke about resettlement of citizens from labour-surplus to labour shortage regions, Kazinform News Agency reports.

According to her, the new migration policy concept offers another mechanism of resettlement of citizens from labour-surplus to labour-shortage regions.

“The in-migrants are issued economic mobility certificates entitling them to apply for a financial support. In case if in-migrants are employed and their employment is confirmed by employers, the government will cover up to 50% of housing cost in the new region,” the Minister said.

“73% of employable in-migrants or 5,200 people were paid lump-sum financial assistance to cover travel expenses. 622 families received economic mobility certificates, and 395 families were provided with housing in northern regions,” Svetlana Zhakupova said.
