3G technologies to be available in Kazakhstan since December 1, 2010
Chairman of the Committee for communication and information of the Ministry of Communication and Information of Kazakhstan Rizat Nurshabekov noted that the largest cellular operator 'Kar-Tel' which represents 'Beeline' in Kazakhstan had already put into operation test stations of 3G services. The project proved itself in short terms but in test mode only.
'Recently we allowed all cellular companies to provide such service on the territory of Astana and Almaty on the threshold of significant events that are to be held in these cities. These are the OSCE Summit and the Asian Games-2011. 'K-Cell' company will provide the same service soon as well', R. Nurshabekov said.
As it was reported earlier the largest cellular operator 'Kar-Tel' will provide the OSCE Summit with 3G service. It was possible thanks to temporary permit for use of radio frequencies.
