3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation kicks off
The opening ceremony of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation is expected to be held today, October 17, in Beijing, Kazinform Agency correspondent reports.
The forum themed "High-quality Belt and Road Cooperation: Together for Common Development and Prosperity" will bring together over 4,000 delegates. Above 140 nations and 30 international organizations have confirmed their participation in the forum, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The forum is to be held on October 17 and 18. Three high-level forums on logistics, ecology and digital economy, six thematic conferences on foreign trade, think tank exchanges, promotion of interregional maritime cooperation will also take place as part of the forum.
Following the forum, the statement will be issued on future directions and key areas for high-quality Road and Belt cooperation.
