3rd Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions to be held under auspices of UN ? N.Nazarbayev

HELSINKI. March 24. KAZINFORM /Yernur Akanbai/ The Third Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions is to be held under the auspices of the UN in Astana on July 1-2, 2009. President Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced it at a meeting with members of Paasikivi Political Society, Kazinform reports.

Noting that today Kazakhstan plays a role of an important international center of interfaith and intercultural interaction, the Kazakh President emphasized, that our state became an initiator and place of holding of the congresses of leaders of world and traditional religions. This forum became an authoritative platform for world religions dialog.
