4 Kazakhstani universities placed in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025

Kazakhstan’s Nazarbayev University (NU), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Satbayev University took very good positions in nine out of the eleven subjects analyzed in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Science and Higher Education Ministry.

Kazakhstan’s Nazarbayev University has been ranked 176th to 200th for Education according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025.

To note, NU debuted in the World University Rankings in 2023.

In addition, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University obtained good results in Education (501-600th) as well as improved its positions in Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences.

Gumilyov Eurasian National University was first included in Arts and Humanitarian Sciences and Computer Science rankings.

Satbayev University marked a breakthrough, ranking 1000+ for Engineering and Physical Sciences.

Earlier it was reported that UNESCO decided to dedicate the International Day of Education 2025 to AI.
