40 countries intend to join CU free trade zone

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Some 40 countries announced their intention to join the free trade zone of the Customs Union, this has been announced today at a briefing of the Central Communications Service by the director of the Institute of Eurasian integration Zhanargul Kusmangaliyeva.

"High-tech manufacturing development requires large markets attractive for investment. At present, 40 countries have announced their intention to join the free trade zone of the Customs Union. Among them are Turkey, India, New Zealand, Vietnam and others", said Zh.Kusmangaliyeva. She recalled that the first state that will be able to join the countries that constitute the core of the Eurasian integration - Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia, will be Armenia. Next countries which expressed their willingness to enter into the CU with subsequent joining the EAEU are Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. "This once again underlines that the Eurasian Economic Union is open, developing and prospective project", concluded Zhanargul Kusmangaliyeva.
