40% of ‘comfortable’ schools built in rural areas
36 new schools were opened on Thursday in several regions of Kazakhstan under the Comfortable School project, 15 of which were built in rural areas, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Ministry of Enlightenment.
A 1500-seat school in Kokozek village of Almaty region has 68 modern classrooms, STEM labs, robotics room, a choreography hall and a gym, as well as recreation and networking areas. All classrooms have been equipped with interactive boards and computers.
The school also supports pupils with special educational needs providing them with special facilities and learning conditions.
This became the fifth school built in rural settlement of Almaty region under the Comfortable School national project.
In general, 36 new schools have been commissioned countrywide since the year beginning, with 15 of them located in rural settlements.
