40% of Kazakhstan's business concentrated in Almaty, says PM
Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov said summing up results of his meeting with Almaty businessmen on Thursday.
During the meeting, the head of the Government especially focused his attention on perspective interaction between the Government and business circles of the country. The Premier noted there were necessary conditions created by the government to support business in Kazakhstan within "Business Roadmap-2020", "Agrobusiness-2020" and other state programs.
The number of inspections and permits has been significantly reduced. Even a special law cutting all types of licenses and permits by 30 per cent has been passed. The work of the e-Government has been activated.
Among other measures promoting successful interaction between the Government and business, Mr. Akhmetov mentioned enhancing of the role of SME in the modernization of economy.
According to the Prime Minister, participation of entrepreneurs in the development of industry-based and regional development programs will allow to expand the space for interaction between the Kazakh authorities and businesses and strengthen the public control, and that, in his words, would benefit both.
The Head of the Cabinet also addressed the problems of improving the fiscal system, customs administration, growth of competitiveness of Kazakhstani business in the context of the Customs Union and joining the WTO.
