40 people evacuated from burning block of flats in E Kazakhstan

UST-KAMENOGORSK. KAZINFORM 40 people were evacuated from a burning five storey block of flats in Ust-Kamenogorsk today. 12 children were among them.

As the regional emergencies department says, the fire damaged around 400 square meters of roof. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters say violation of fire safety rules or careless handling of fire probably caused the emergency.
