43 houses flooded in Karaganda region

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Meltwater flooded yards and 43 houses in Zhylandy village, Karaganda region, according to the press service of the regional Emergency Department.

As a result there have been evacuated 173 people. Cattle were driven away to a safe place.
There were conducted on-site bank protection and water drainage works.

According to the regional Emergency Department, flood water level has decreased by 30 cm. In addition, in the region due to spring water overflow "Aktau-Karazhal", "Karabas-Shahtinsk" roads have been closed. Road services are working on meltwater drainage and restoration of the roadways.
