45% of Almaty budget to spend on support and development of social sphere: A.Yesimov

ALMATY. February 6. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ ?Akimat of Almaty waived all non-priority spending, strengthening its social part?, Mayor Akhmetzhan Yesimov has said today at the meeting with citizens, Kazinform reports.

?About 45% of the total budget will be allocated for the support and development of social sphere. Establishment of additional working places is scheduled in order to prevent growth of unemployment?, A.Yesimov said. Besides, 100 memos on social protection of working citizens and provision of necessary assistance in case of job loss were signed with enterprises and organizations of the city. About 50 more memos will be signed as well. Special attention will be paid to the implementation of the city budget. The budget, under the current circumstances, becomes one of the major investors to the real economy and will be fully focused on the needs of the population.
