National Museum of Kazakhstan attracts 4.5mln visitors in 10 years

4.5mln people visit National Museum of Kazakhstan in 10 years

This year, the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan marks its 10th anniversary, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The collections of the National Museum include 223,879 exhibits.

Over this period, the Museum has restored 4,258 items, and organized 3,041 events, 318 exhibitions, 27 conferences, eight forums, 169 roundtable meetings, 736 CAS activities, 922 museum lessons, 116 archeological and 24 ethnographic expeditions.

Over the years, 47 manuscripts, 28 catalogues, eight encyclopedias, three dictionaries have been compiled and 1,191 scientific articles have been prepared.

4,608,328 people have visited the National Museum within 10 years, while its international exhibitions have attracted 2,201,600 visitors.

One of the most enigmatic masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, La Bella Principessa, is also showcased in the National Museum. The exhibition is organized with the support of Italy’s Embassy in Astana.
