46 sites looted and burned during mass disorders in Zhanaozen

ASTANA. December 17. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ 46 sites have been looted and burned during the mass disorders in Zhanaozen town of Mangystau region on December 16.

Official Representative of the Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office Nurdaulet Suiyndykov has told a briefing today.

They are offices of affiliated branches of the Halyk Bank and Alliance Bank, 20 shops, 2 cafes, 2 akimats (urban and rural), a hotel, a building of OzenMunayGas Company, 3 private dwelling houses, 20 automobiles. During celebration of the 20^th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence the offenders destroyed a stage, yurts, musical equipment and a New Year tree at the central square.

"At about 05.00 p.m. the participants of the mass disorders set on fire a house of Director of OzenMunayGas Company K.Yeshmanov," Nurdaulet Suiyndykov added.
