5.0-magnitude quake hits 517 km from Almaty

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Kazakh Network of Seismic Stations recorded an earthquake at 9:17 a.m. Almaty time on Sunday.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located on the border of China, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, 517 km southwest of Almaty. Energy class of the earthquake: 11.4. MPV magnitude: 5.0. Coordinates of the epicenter: 39.21° N 73.72° E. Depth: 10 km," the agency reported.
