5 Kazakhstanis contract dengue fever after vacation in Thailand
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Five cases of dengue fever have been confirmed among tourists from Kazakhstan who vacationed in Thailand this year, according to top sanitary official Zhandarbek Bershin.
Mr. Bershin told a press conference in Astana on Wednesday that the first two cases of dengue fever were registered in early 2014. In general, five of our citizens contracted this infection in Thailand," he added. In his words, they were timely isolated and treated.
Bershin said travelers should be careful and observe hygiene rules and epidemiological regime when visiting exotic countries.
