50 evacuated from burning house in Almaty

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Fire occurred in a two-storey residential building in Turksib district of Almaty, the city Emergency Department reported.

According to the department, the fire started at about 3 a.m. After 4 hours it was liquidated. The fire spread to 8 apartments. As a result of the accident 50 people were evacuated. One person was injured. Fire area was 315 square meters. Fire suppression involved 60 personnel of the city Emergency Department and 18 pieces of equipment. Causes of the fire are being investigated.
